Prayer for today – 21st March 2020

Almighty God our great Creator,

When You finished Creation, you rested from your work saying “It is good”.

Jesus on the cross, gave up His Spirit to You and said “It is finished!” Thank you for our work and employment and for our times of rest. You created both for our good.

Father for struggling businesses we ask that they will find ways of staying afloat and keeping staff jobs open. We ask for a wave of creativity that will prevent vital businesses and services from folding. For those who are fearful of losing jobs and income, may they encounter Hope in Jesus´ Name. We pray that many will find a new determination and resourcefulness as they face employment crisis.

For those who have to stop work at this time, help them and all of us to enter into Your perfect rest. Our times are in Your hands.

May we submit and surrender all to You in Jesus Name. Amen.

Bible verse:

Isaiah 64:8

Yet you Lord are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter, we are all the work of your hand.
