Prayer for Today, 18th April 2020
In the book of Habakkuk the prophet chooses to praise You even though terrible things are happening. And so do we!
Even though we cannot leave our homes, our freedoms are restricted, some of us are alone, our relationships strained, we cannot see our loved ones, people we know are sick and dying, many are anxious and fearful, we cannot travel, have holidays or go to church…
…’yet we will rejoice in the Lord and be joyful in God our Saviour’.
‘O Lord, remember mercy’.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Saviour. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to tread on the heights.
This Thursday, 11th February at 11:00 Salt Church will hold a prayer meeting. Whilst this, because of the current circumstances, is pre-recorded it is an opportunity to unite as a church and wider community to pray together at the same time for issues facing us at this difficult moment. In this short trailer Chris and Helena encourage us to join together as a corporate body this Thursday, 11th February at 11:00 CET (10:00 UK).
We thank and praise You for family and friends … we are blessed.
We praise and thank you for answering many prayers around the world …
May we … keep on praying and not forget
We continue to seek Your face, for Your Kingdom purposes to prevail …
Thank You for so many answered prayers …
