Prayer for Today 17 March 2020

Heavenly Father, we come to you at this time of uncertainty and stress to pray for Healthcare establishments and workers around the world.

Your Word the Bible tells us that there will be famines, natural disasters, disease, war and conflict.

These things are not going to go away but will increase.

At times like these the pressure on health services, staff and volunteers is
enormous.

Father help us to pray with compassion for the many needs around us.

Stir our hearts to care as You care.

To mourn with those who mourn and weep with those who weep.

In Jesus Name we pray that our health services will know Your Presence and strength as they try to cope with the increasing demands placed upon them.

For Healthcare staff and volunteers who are tired and overworked, may they turn to You and know Your help and encouragement.

For those who may be re-called into work and are worried, may they know Your peace.

For those in healthcare governance may they have wisdom to know how best to direct resources and care.

We ask for protection from coronavirus, over all healthcare workers and for working relationships to be strengthened at this time.

We ask all this in the mighty and loving Name of Jesus our God and Saviour,
Amen!.

Bible verse:

Stand fast on the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ – Matthew 7:24-25

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.”
